I’ve mentioned before that I have a marathon mentor in Trevor, one of the listeners of the podcast network I’m a part of. One day, he was going through his photos from the Boston Marathon this past year and was rather amused by a photo of him where – just over his shoulder – you can see another man with a bright yellow baseball cap on pushing himself to keep pace. Trevor mentioned that this man was likely behind him the whole way as he was probably of the same pace, and so it became a sort of joke that this man was like an angel watching out for him during his race. And then…a long and very silly conversation happened in Duckfeed.tv Slack’s wellness channel:
Trevor suggested that I get one for myself, but really my Running Guardian would be him rather than this guy — at least until I run my own marathon, at which point I may discover a new Guardian. 😀
